The Maps Advantage: Case Studies and Testimonials
Investing in a system like MAPS is not to be undertaken lightly. You'll be bombarded by information mostly originating from the publishers. This is great for helping you with your initial decisions but wouldn't it be better if you could get some impartial advice too?
That's what we think too. So we asked the respected educationalists at Mirandanet to take a look at MAPS and the schools that use it.
In the summer term of 2007 sixty individuals whose schools were subscribers to MAPS were invited to provide feedback on their uses of the application. Online structured questionnaires (based on the Lickert Scale) were hosted by Mirandanet for both teachers and pupils. Pupils' opinions are particularly important as often, they will be the most extensive users.
Data was collected under a number of headings ranging from Key Stage and Curriculum Coverage, through teacher perceptions to ease of implementation and use.
